A two day workshop for beginners wishing to learn the basics of drawing, as well as intermediate artists who want to further explore drawing as an art form. Special emphasis on line, shapes, shading, textures and perspective using graphite on paper.

Gary is a native of Florida, where he received a B.A. in Studio Art from the University of West Florida in 1972. In 1979, he came to the Richmond Times-Dispatch, where he was editorial cartoonist for 30 years. Since 1997, he has drawn the cartoon panel, "Pluggers," and in 2000, he began drawing for the comic strip "Shoe."
