All Aglow: Painting Luminous Light – In this workshop Anne will share her step by step process for composing a successful studio painting from start to finish while sharing her secrets for creating radiant light effects.  Her students will gain a deeper knowledge of how to use reference material to create paintings that are strong, dynamic and convincing.  Emphasis will be on color mixing, loose brushwork and solid design.  Students should bring favorite photos or field studies from which to work.  Individual attention will be given based on personal areas of interest.  Demonstrations will include glowing interiors and dynamic street scenes.

ANNE BLAIR BROWN

Anne Blair Brown was born in North Kingstown, Rhode Island and currently resides in Nashville, TN. Her work centers on people, interior spaces, and rural and urban landscapes. As a former chef, Anne’s passion for restaurants and cafes is reflected in her work, as well as a love of the countryside and towns that mark everyday existence. She says, “When a viewer connects with my painting such that they feel present in the moment, I know I have been successful.”

Anne Blair Brown is an active member of The Oil Painters of America, American Impressionist Society, Plein Air Painters of the Southeast, and The Chestnut Group, a nonprofit group of artists dedicated to preserving endangered ecosystems, historic locales, and aesthetically and environmentally significant places.
